L-com's POE1GAT-EXT is a PoE extender that can handle PoE 802.3at power and data while increasing the range of power and data by an extra 100 meters. This Ethernet extender supports all IEEE 802.at and IEEE 802.af compliant PoE/PoE+ devices and automatically detects and protects PoE/PoE+ equipment from being damaged by incorrect installation (non-PoE devices only receive data).
Multiple power over Ethernet extenders can be daisy chained to extend 10/100/1000 Mbps (up to 1 Gigabit) applications over longer distances by cascading multiple extenders up to 500 meters or 1640 feet. This POE1GAT-EXT indoor extender can be wall-mounted and used with shielded Category 5e (or better) cabling. This L-com 30W power gigabit extender is suitable for applications including access VoIP, points, bridges, network switches, amplifiers and amplified antennas, digital signage, building control systems, traffic systems and PC interconnection.
